The system has a sensor body for insertion into a line system with an inner bore for detecting flow in the bore in combination with sensor elements on the other wall of the body. The dumbbell-shaped body consists of a homogeneous material with end process connections and key parts, a reduced diameter center section and at least one surface on the center section on which sensor elements are fitted so as not to penetrate the wall of the inner bore.
