PURPOSE: A system and method for confirming E-mail using a keyphone system is provided to enable a keyphone user to confirm the reception of new E-mail without a special operation as an E-mail server checks the keyphone user's extension number corresponding to the account of new E-mail and transmits the extension number to a relevant keyphone system together with the information of the received E-mail so that the keyphone system can immediately report the information of E-mail reception through the extension number. CONSTITUTION: An E-mail server(10) comprises an E-mail reception check part(15). If new E-mail is received, the E-mail reception check part(15) obtains a keyphone user's extension number corresponding to the account of the received E-mail from a database part(20) and informs a keyphone system(30) that new E-mail has been received. The database part(20) stores and manages E-mail account information and a keyphone user's extension number corresponding to each E-mail account information. The keyphone system(30) comprises an E-mail reception notification part(35). In case that the reception of new E-mail is reported from the E-mail reception check part(15), the E-mail reception notification part(35) analyzes the reported content and informs a relevant keyphone(40)' user that new E-mail has been received.
