<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-driven tool having a fixing device and a safety element composed to prevent the fixing device for releasing a tool from being released by a wrong operation by a user. SOLUTION: In this motor-driven tool for such as a hand-held circular saw device and a surface polishing device, the tool driven by a motor via a drive shaft 1 is provided, and the tool can be fixed to the drive shaft 1 by the fixing device operable by means of a fixing lever 12. The motor-driven tool further comprises: a mechanical brake device 2 for braking an operation of the tool; a switch element 3 which turns on or off the motor; and the safety element 4 which, in a safety position, prevents turning on of the switch element and actuates the brake device 2, and in a releasing position, allows the turning on of the switch element and prevents the operation of the brake device 2. The brake device 2 is mechanically connected to the safety element 4. In this motor-driven tool, a locking mechanism is provided which releases, in a safety position, the fixing lever 12 in a fixing state and locks, in a releasing position, the fixing lever 12.</p> |
