PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coater having a transfer made of a cylindrical element or a plurality of balls as a nib, capable of realizing a coating having a heavy thickness and small in unevenness, wherein the transfer is hardly allowed to come off due to an impact. SOLUTION: The transfer 6 has a spiral element arranged on a cylinder or outer peripheral surfaces of a plurality of balls, or only the spiral element. A shape of the spiral element is constant in its diameter to both ends or smaller in diameter at both ends than except both the ends or is further provided with protrusions on both ends each having a small diameter. A transfer container 18 is an almost rectangular parallelepiped cavity. After the transfer 6 is housed in the container 18, its opening 15 is caulked in structure to narrow the opening 15 to hold the transfer 6.
