PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change a recording head without damaging a continuity and quality of an image as to a device which records continuously and substantially over a long time in textile printing or the like. SOLUTION: As to a structure which records by two stages of a front recording head and a rear recording head arranged along the conveying direction of a recording medium, whether the rear recording head is changed or not during the head shedding(HS) movement of each recording head, is determined (step S27) and when the change is determined, non-recording image data for the rear recording head is reformed to the image data shedding corrected by HS table (steps S24, S25, S26, S31 and S32) created for the recording head changed anew (step S28).
