PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball catching tool which has an improved touch when fitted, is reinforced with a core material, easily catches a ball, and hardly drops the ball. SOLUTION: This ball catching tool is provided with a surface skin formed by sewing a ball catching face skin 10 and a back face skin 9 together, a back skin formed by sewing a palm skin 12 inserted into the surface skin and a hand back skin 11 together, and a third finger core 20 interiorly fitted to the surface skin. The third finger core 20 has a reinforcing section 23 at a side section and is sewn to the back skin. The reinforcing section 23 envelopes the side section of the third finger core 20 at the extension section 13 of the hand back skin 11 and is formed by sewing the extension section 13 to the third finger core 20.
