PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon monoxide removal catalyst improved in the selectivity for the oxidation of carbon monoxide so as to remove carbon monoxide to a low concentration (<=10 ppm) even when the oxygen level (oxygen/ carbon monoxide ratio) is low. SOLUTION: There is provided a carbon monoxide removal catalyst that is the one prepared by allowing a support to carry a noble metal, wherein the catalyst has such a porous structure that the mean pore diameter (4V/S) is 6-9 nm (wherein V is the total pore volume as measured by mercury porosimetry, and S is the total pore specific area as measured by mercury porosimetry).
