PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion generator of bath water taking in a means for forcibly circulating bath water and capable of enhancing the acting effect on the body through two stages such that tourmaline is allowed to act on bath water in a combination of tourmaline and a permanent magnet and water is magnetized by the magnet. SOLUTION: A cleaning instrument 3 is equipped with an ion generating material having at least tourmaline and a porous ore and provided with an ion generation part 20 ionizing bath water by passing the same in a bathtub 1 through the ion generating material. A guide passage 31 on a discharge port side for guiding bath water filtered by the ion generation part 20 toward a bath water discharge port 20 is formed and a magnet part 4 comprising the permanent magnet is disposed adjacent to the guide passage 31 on the discharge port side. Bath water passes through the ion generation part 20 and the vicinity of the magnet part and, when both of the magnet and the ion generation part 20 (tourmaline and granite porphyry) act on bath water, miniaturized water molecule groups become easy to act on the body along with negative ions.
