Disc player controls movement of playback base and clamper support between outside and inside of disc holding/separating mechanism

A control mechanism (1300) controls the movements of a playback base (9) and a clamper arm (4) between outside and inside of a disc holding/separating mechanism (1100). A carrier mechanism (1200) holds and conveys selected disc (80) between disk holding/separating mechanism and a turn-table (3). An Independent claim is also included for disk player control method.
