PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scribing apparatus capable of efficiently transmitting a vibration of a vibration actuator to a cutter without laterally deviating the cutter. SOLUTION: The scribing apparatus comprises a housing 25, a main shaft 26 partly contained in the housing 25 and allowed to linearly move in an axial direction to the housing 25, the vibration actuator 27 disposed between the housing 25 and the shaft 26 to vibrate the shaft 26, and the cutter 12 coupled to the shaft 26. The apparatus further comprises a plurality of keyways 26c extended parallel to the axial direction and formed on an outer periphery of the shaft 26. A rotation inhibitor 36 engaged with the keyway 26 is provided in the housing 25. The rotation inhibitor 36 is adjustable at its position toward the keyway 26c.
