PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wood fiber board, and its manufacturing method, which is excellent in rot-proofing performance and has a physical and mechanical performance durable against a practical use. SOLUTION: A wood fiber board is obtained by hot press molding a sheet-like material comprising wood fiber and binder resin, and zinc borate is mixed in the binder resin by 0.05-5 wt.% to the weight of the wood fiber board. The method for manufacturing the wood fiber board comprises a step wherein a sheet-like material comprising the wood fiber and the binder resin is molded by hot pressing. Formaldehyde-based resin to which zinc borate is added, or the formaldehyde-based resin and an isocyanate compound are applied to the wood fiber as a binder resin so that a content of the zinc borate becomes 0.05-5 wt.% to the weight of the wood fiber board, and the wood fiber is molded into the sheet-like material.
