PURPOSE: A portable telephone battery with a charging device using a solar cell is provided charge the portable telephone battery using the charging device when a portable telephone is in a traffic status and charge portable telephone using a light when the portable telephone is in an idle status. CONSTITUTION: A solar cell plate(22) is installed at a surface of a battery. The solar cell plate(22) converts an incident light of a sun or a fluorescent lamp into a predetermined voltage. A voltage regulator(26) converts the voltage from the solar cell plate(22) into a direct current voltage suitable to charge a battery. A switch(24) intercepts or couples the direct current voltage from the voltage regulator(26). A case body receives the solar cell plate(22), the voltage regulator(26), and the switch(24). The case body is integrally formed on a battery(9). A pair of protrusion terminals are formed at a lower center of the battery(9).
