PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball game training device capable of easily specifying the batter's box of a trainee having hit a ball among a plural number of batter's boxes when the ball reaches a target position. SOLUTION: The ball game training device comprises a ball feeding means 2 for feeding a ball with a built-in IC chip in which a discrimination number is written to each batter's box, a reading means 5 for reading the discrimination number of the fed ball from the IC chip, a memory means 31 for storing the read-out discrimination number of the ball corresponding to each batter's box, a reaching ball detecting means 7 for detecting that the ball shot from each batter's box has entered a basket, a second reading means 8 for reading the discrimination number of the ball having entered the basket from the IC chip, and a specifying means 17 for specifying the batter's box by selecting the same discrimination number from the memory means 31 as the discrimination number read by the second reading means 8 when the ball enters the basket.
