ENGINE MOUNT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an engine mount capable of absorbing the same collision energy as conventional one with lighter weight at a lower cost. SOLUTION: An engine mount 1 is provided with a first engaging member 9 which is engaged with either one side of a vehicle body and a power unit, a second engaging member 6 which is engaged with the other side of the vehicle body and the power unit, and an insulator 7 which comprises an elastic body existed between the first engaging member 9 and the second engaging member 6. The engine mount 1 is constituted by forming a notch part 5 which becomes a starting point of plastic deformation or breakage in input load over the previously set predetermined load in either one of the first engaging member 9 and the second engaging member 6 or both of them.
