<p>A security storage device (14, 15, 16, 17) including a plurality of compartments (32, Figure 2), which may each have a removable cartridge (38, Figure 2), a locking means (11) with lock controller and contents detecting means, where the lock control provides different access to empty compartments. Preferably the control parameter for the lock control is a time delay, where compartments sensed to be empty are subject to no delay when opening but full compartments may only be opened after a delay, one at a time or remain open for a limited time. In use the device may be incorporated in to a trolley or work surface (Figure 3).</p> |
