SELF-TRAVEL CARRIAGE DEVICE USED IN WELDING PROCESS

PURPOSE: A self-travel carriage device is provided to improve the workability and the productivity of the welding process by automatically detecting a start point and an end point of the welding using a visual sensor. CONSTITUTION: A welding carriage body is provided at both sides thereof with driving wheels(20,21) so as to weld a workpiece(50) along a welding line. A V-axis slide(3) and a W-axis slide(4) are attached to the welding carriage body. The V-axis slide(3) is horizontally moved and the W-axis slide(4) is vertically moved. A welding torch(5) is attached to the W-axis slide(4). A variation sensor(23) is installed at a front of the welding carriage body. An idle auxiliary wheel(22) is installed at a lower end of the welding carriage body so as to balance the welding carriage device. A visual sensor(7) is installed at the W-axis slide(4) so as to detect start point and an end point of the welding.
