摘要 PURPOSE: A flat illuminator using a nano tube is provided to improve an energy efficiency and a durability while having the same illumination as that of a conventional illuminator. CONSTITUTION: A thin film conductive layer(1) and a nano tube layer(3) are formed at a cathode substrate(2). The thin film conductive layer(1) is formed by laminating a metal such as Au, Pt, Al, Cu, Co, or Ag or a metallic oxide such as an indium tin oxide. A diameter(d) and a length(L) of the nano tube layer(3) are 1-100nm and 0.02-10μm, respectively. A ratio of the length(L) and the diameter(d) is 10-10,000. A transparent conductive layer(6) and a fluorescent layer(5) are formed at an anode substrate(7). A spacer(4) is formed between the cathode substrate and the anode substrate. A part between the cathode substrate and the anode substrate forms a vacuum status or a status with which an inert gas is filled.
