PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head for dot printer in which adverse effect onto a leaf spring can be prevented at the time of connecting/disconnecting an external connector. SOLUTION: The print head 2 for dot printer comprises a resiliently deformable leaf spring 6 provided with a pin member 5 at the forward end part thereof, and a mechanism 7 for shifting the leaf spring 6 instantaneously in a specified direction wherein printing is performed dot by dot by impacting a sheet C with the pin member 5 through an ink ribbon 3. The shift mechanism 7 comprises a first yoke 11 having a through hole 18 and supporting the leaf spring 6 while inserting the pin member 5 into the through hole 18, a second yoke 12 dispose oppositely to the leaf spring 6, and a bobbin 15 fitted over the second yoke 12 while being applied with a coil 14. The bobbin 15 comprises a tubular body section 30, and a first flange part 31 formed at one end of the body section 30 wherein a thick part 33 abutting against the first yoke 11 to regulate movement of the bobbin 15 on the second yoke 12 is formed at an upper part of the first flange part 31.
