PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting grinding wheel having improved life and cutting performance by effectively using a coolant while reducing the consumption thereof. SOLUTION: A plurality of abrasive grain layers 3 are provided on eh outer periphery of an approximately circular plate base metal 2 in peripherally and equally spaced relation. Both side faces of the abrasive grain layer 3 are provided with grooves 11 which are inclined backward to a tool rotating direction as tending from the inner periphery side to outer periphery side and which have outer-periphery-side opening ends located at the rear side of an intermediate position in the tool rotating direction.
