PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooking device and its cooking method which can not only cook the food evenly, but also make effective use of the energy. SOLUTION: This cooking device comprises a pot 1 which can accommodate a food 4 in a closed condition, and a heat storage tank 2 which communicates with the inner part of this pot 1. The heat storage tank 2 characteristically has a delivery means 19 which delivers the generated steam into the inner part of the pot.
