The method involves reading image points or groups of image points from an electronic image sensor divided into image points using a given clock period. There are at least two lots of image points and/or image groups, whose elements are read out at different sampling rates. The image points are grouped into rows of a two-dimensional image and the rows belonging to a lot are read out with the same sampling rate. Independent claims are also included for the following: a device for reading out several lots of image points with different sampling rates.
