PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety apparatus which prevents falling down and fracture accidents from happening by detecting leaving chair and cropper from a wheelchair of a wheelchair user, and notifying a care-giver as soon as possible. SOLUTION: A switch to detect if a person sits on a wheelchair is attached. A detection switch is connected to an electronic chime and a care-giver is notified by a voice when a wheelchair user leaves the seat. A bearing surface underneath type pressure detection switch, a cushion type pressure detection switch, an infrared sensor or a temperature sensor are used a detection switch. Among these, the bearing surface underneath type pressure detection switch 1 is placed so that the switch button upheaves the wheelchair bearing surface 4. The switch button 7 is hit and is turned off when a person sits. The switch is turned on when a person leaves. The switch is connected to the electronic chime and the chime rings when a person leaves the bearing surface.
