PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cultivating a plant through improving its growth to increase its harvest by eliminating a state of lacking the glucose formed by sunlight photosynthesis compared to the quantity thereof needed for cell growth in plant growing process. SOLUTION: This method for cultivating a plant involves artificially supplying glucose to the plant; wherein specific means in supplying glucose include the following: the plant is sprinkled with an aqueous solution of glucose; glucose is mixed with a compost, fertilizer, soil or the like and evenly applied to a (paddy) field; glucose is dissolved in the water for hydroponics; the seeds of the plant are soaked in an aqueous solution of glucose and then sown; and an aqueous solution of glucose is absorbed into the seeds and the resulting seeds are exposed to sunlight enough to dry the surface thereof and then sown.
