<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for simply fluidizing a microorganism immobilized carrier made of plastics in a tank. SOLUTION: The microorganism immobilized carrier comprising a water swellable porous gel is charged in wastewater in a biological treatment tank and a penetration agent is added before the charging of the carrier, simultaneously with the charging thereof or immediately after the charging thereof and, after the carrier is sedimented, aeration is started not only to fluidize the carrier by the revolving stream of water in the tank but also to add a defoaming agent.</p> |
