PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope appliance of which handleability is more improved by allowing it to be easily watched even in the case of the change of the projecting quantity of a treating part such as a tip electrode part. SOLUTION: The projecting quantity of the tip electrode part 27 from the tip of a sheath 2 can be adjusted by operating a slider. When picking up an image with an imaging device 45 within a camera head 39 mounted to an optical view pipe 4 and displaying the image of the part 27, etc., on a monitor 43 via a processor 65, the image is small when displaying it as it is when the projecting quantity is large. Then, the projecting quantity is detected by a sensor 66 and the detection signal is inputted to an expansion control circuit 70 to control the magnification of the image through this circuit 70 to make an image size suited to observation.
