PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for obtaining a pellet of a saponified ethylene- vinyl acetate copolymer composition capable of obtaining a molding of a film or the like having small thickness unevenness and excellent accuracy. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the resin composition pellet comprises the steps of melt kneading the saponified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer composition pellet with an additive of 0.1 to 5 wt.% by using a uniaxial extruder under the conditions for satisfying 10<(L/D)<70 [L is a length (mm) of a screw of the extruder, and D is a diameter (mm) of the screw] and 4<ln(C.N)<8 [C is a ratio of a cylinder temperature of a hopper inlet/cylinder temperature of an extruder outlet, and N is a rotational speed (rpm) of the screw of the extruder] to manufacture the pellet containing the additive of 0.1 to 5 wt.%.
