PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variety of dither matrices in a limited capacity of a component memory element of a dither matrix table forming a gradation conversion circuit of a printing device. SOLUTION: Dither matrix threshold data can be written to a dither matrix table storage section 11. When tonal value conversion is executed for Y toner print data, a dither X address 105 as a counter output value is fed back to a comparator 4, and resets a counter 5 when it becomes equal to an X size specification value 101. Similarly, it functions as an L-adic counter, resetting the counter when it becomes equal to a Y size specification value 106. By inputting the x address signal 105, a y address signal 110, an X size signal 101, and the Y size signal 106 to an address synthesis section 20, and combining data bits of all address signals in accordance with a dither matrix size, a dither matrix address 111 is generated.
