DECONTAMINATION METHOD FOR MATERIAL CONTAMINATED WITH PCB

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time for decontamination treatment to enhance the efficiency of decontamination in decontaminating the materials contaminated with PCBs, more particularly impregnatable materials by a solvent decontamination method. SOLUTION: The method for subjecting the materials M contaminated with the PCBs which contain the impregnatable materials to solvent decontamination in cleaning drums 2 and 3, in which the materials M contaminated with the PCBs to be washed are shredded and are further pulverized at need and the pulverized materials are fed into a rotary drum and are cleaned is provided. The cleaning liquid contaminated with the PCBs after use is separated to the PCBs and the cleaning liquid by distillation. The cleaning liquid is reused.
