PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a cheese like food without using a cheese as a main raw material, having a cheese like flavor and paratability, excellent in property after baking and suitable for making a confectionary or bread simply and at a low cost. SOLUTION: This method for producing the cheese like food is provided by using a protein in which the ratio of a casein protein/whey protein is 0.6-3.2, oils and fats, an acidic raw material and a salt, and heating for melting them.
