Covering, used for laundry detergent, dish-washing detergent or cleaning detergent portions, comprises (partly) water-soluble polymer material; enzyme(s) for the washing, dish-washing or cleaning process; organic compound(s) containing 2 or more hydroxyl (OH) groups; and crosslinker(s) for the polymer. Independent claims are also included for: (1) laundry detergent, dish-washing detergent or cleaning detergent portions containing enzymes, with the cited covering; and (2) methods for producing the covering comprising (i) mixing the polymer, enzyme(s), organic OH compound(s), crosslinker(s) and optionally detergent and/or additive(s), if necessary at slightly elevated temperature, blowing to a film and, if necessary, converting it to a form suitable for covering detergent portions; or (ii) dissolving the polymer in a suitable solvent (mixture), adding enzyme(s), organic OH compound(s), crosslinker(s) and optionally detergent and/or other additives, casting the mixture to a film and removing the solvent(s) by evaporation.
