In an arrangement to increase the thermal couple for a temperature sensor, the sensor is held within an insulating mantle and is linked to a measuring device by two wires, each with an insulating mantle. One of the insulating mantles is shorter than the other. The longer insulation provides greater heat couple than the shorter insulation.
