PURPOSE: A parking controlling apparatus for a wheel type excavator is provided to prevent an accident in a working field by operating/closing a parking solenoid incorporated with a brake pedal. CONSTITUTION: Hydraulic pressurized oil exhausted from a main pump(1a) is supplied into a transmission(4) through a directional valve(6) so that wheels of an excavator rotate forward or backward, thereby traveling the excavator in the forward or backward direction. When a traveling/parking switch(9) is positioned in a traveling position, the power supplied into a parking solenoid valve(8) is shut-off. Thus, hydraulic pressure supplied from a pilot valve(1b) is transferred into the directional valve(6) through a forward/backward traveling solenoid valve. Accordingly, a spool of the directional valve(6) is opened so that hydraulic pressurized oil exhausted from the main pump(1a) is transferred into the transmission(4). Thus, the transmission(4) is driven by hydraulic pressurized oil, so that the wheels are rotated.
