PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen permeable material which can be used when hydrogen is separated from the mixed gas obtained by using a petroleum gas as a raw material and reforming the petroleum gas with hydrogen while the performance is not deteriorated by deposition, accumulation or the like of carbon and has high hydrogen permeation speed. SOLUTION: This hydrogen permeable material has a hydrogen selectively permeable porous layer through which hydrogen is selectively permeated and which is formed on the surface of a porous material having continuous pores. One or more metals selected from ruthenium, rhodium, palladium, magnesium and cobalt are dispersed on at least the surface of the hydrogen selectively permeable porous layer. |
