PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for measuring a color chart which make it possible to read the color chart with accuracy even when a printing paper to be conveyed flutters. SOLUTION: The present invention is a device for taking a photograph of a color chart on a printing paper having a plurality of color chart areas and measuring a color chart information from an image data rd obtained by taking a photograph of the color chart. The device includes an image pickup means 25 for reading out an image having the color chart and an unprinted area adjacent to the color chart from the printing paper during conveying, a calculating means 50 for calculating a color chart area and a white data of the unprinted area adjacent to the color chart area from the obtained image data rd and a paper whiteness correcting means 49 for correcting the color data based on corresponding white data. |
