PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand piece by which the brightness of a light source arranged in a treatment tool is changed without the break of a contact point for properly transmitting a current between the base part of the hand piece and a treatment tool. SOLUTION: The treatment tool (4) is arranged so as to be freely attachable/ detachable at the front end of the medical or dental treatment hand piece (1) having the long base part (3). The treatment tool (4) is provided with the light source to which power feeding lines (6a and 6b) are extended. Coils (7a and 7b) for transmitting the current through the use of induction by connection to the power feeding lines (6a and 6b) are arranged in the treatment tool (4) and the base part (3). The treatment tool (4) is attached to the base part (3) so as to be freely movable in an axial direction in order to change the degree of engagement between the two coils (7a and 7b). The brightness of a light source is adjusted by these means.
