PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorization apparatus in which the total area of plural fins allowed to contact with a discharged gas from e.g. a garbage treatment device when the discharged gas is passed through the device, is increased without increasing the pressure loss across the device and thereby which has an enhanced purification capacity with respect to the discharged gas. SOLUTION: This deodorization apparatus is provided with fins 2 which are formed by fixing a plurality of metal thin sheets each having at least one bored through-hole 22 to a metal pipe 1 having a catalyst heater 24 within it and on each of which a catalyst is deposited, wherein: a partition plate 23 is placed between every opposite two of the fins 2, to separate the two fins 2 from each other and to form at least one passage through them; and the metal pipe 1 and the fins 2 are housed in a cylindrical case 21 to form the deodorization apparatus. Thus, the objective deodorization apparatus in which the total area of fins 2 allowed to contact with such a discharged gas when passed through the apparatus, is increased without increasing the pressure loss across the apparatus and thereby which has an enhanced purification capacity with respect to the discharged gas, can be obtained. |
