PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple table water cleaner high in water cleaning capacity, dispensing with the replacement of a filter medium and not bringing about the propagation of bacteria, fungi or the like. SOLUTION: This table water cleaner consists of an almost cylindrical container 1 having an opening part formed at the upper part thereof, the lid 2 covering the opening part of the container 1, activated carbon 3, a pair of fabrics or nets 4 for holding activated carbon, the piston 5 holding activated carbon 3 and the fabrics or nets and having water passing hole parts, the rod 8 bonded to the central part of the piston 5 to slide in the hole part 7 formed at the central part of the lid 2 and the handle part 9 provided to the upper end of the rod 8. Parts excepting activated carbon among materials coming into contact with water are made of a heat-resistant material such polymeric material or the like and activated carbon can be regenerated and sterilized by hot water of 80 deg.C or higher.
