<p>An information terminal and a method for displaying at least one point of interest within the information terminal in accordance with a numerical order, wherein said numerical order of a plurality of points of interest (1-4) is dependent on a distance (d) between a variable position of the information terminal and a respective point of interest, a significance value (s) of the respective point of interest (1-4) and possibly a zooming factor of the information terminal. Therewith, an adaptive filtering mechanism is proposed to sort and order points of interest (1-4) according to their relevance which is dependent on their significance and reachability and additionally dependent on the zooming factor, i. e. the weighting of significance and reachability. Further, the weighting of a combination of distance (d) and significance (s) is used to determine whether a point of interest (1-4) is displayed within the information terminal or not. <IMAGE></p> |
