PROTECTIVE DEVICE OF LARGE SCALE HIGH VOLTAGE SYSTEM USING IGCT POWER ELEMENT

PURPOSE: A protective device of a large scale high voltage system is provided to prevent a disorder over a total system from spreading by interrupting a switch sequence of the system when at least one power element becomes an abnormal status. CONSTITUTION: A converter(41) converts a monitoring(optical signal) feedback signal(22) from an IGCT drive into an electric signal. A controller(50) transmits a gate driving signal(51)(trigger signal). A two stage flip flop circuit(43) logically combines a data signal(42) transmitted from the converter(41) and the gate driving signal(51) transmitted from a controller(50) and generates a latch signal(44). An LED display device(45) displays a disorder status of a power element by the latch signal(44) from the two stage flip flop circuit(43). A logic circuit(46) provides a disorder signal(47) to the controller(50) to cut-off a gate.
