PURPOSE: An apparatus for initializing a slave is provided to prevent the wrong operation of a system by using a slave ID in case that a master accesses to a slave, and by preventing the system from being abnormally operated according to the wrong operation of another slave. CONSTITUTION: A master performs an access after a slave ID storage and bus error detection unit(34) initializes a common bus control unit of a slave in case that there's a bus error in the slave. The slave exchanges data with the master. In case that there are errors, the slave initializes the common bus control unit(44) according to a control signal of the master. The slave ID storage and bus error detection unit(34) stores an ID of the slave to which the master accesses. In case that the slave ID storage and bus error detection unit(34) can't receive a response signal owing to bus errors of the slave, the unit(34) transmits an initialization request signal according to a bus error signal of a main control unit of the master.
