PURPOSE: An insurance providing method for e-commerce is provided to reduce e-commerce companies' compensation responsibility and to make users use e-commerce at ease. CONSTITUTION: The system for the method consists of user terminals(110), product selling system, service providing system(130), insurance companies(150) and networks, which connects all of the components. The service providing system consists of a web server(131), a product selling system manager(134), an insurance premium calculator(135), an insured amount calculator(136) and billing part(137). The operator of the product selling system buys insurance like nonlife insurance on the service providing system for any hackers' invasion, damaged products, or loss of credit card. The service providing system sends information to the premium calculator, which sends the calculated premium information to the product selling system. The e-commerce user can get information about the insurance from web pages or email. The user can get the insured amount when an accident occurs like damaging or loss. To get the insured amount, the user reports the loss. The reported information is sent to the insured amount calculator of the service providing system, which determines the insurance is applied.
