摘要 PURPOSE: A surface reforming method of a pancreatic islet membrane using polymeric grafting is provided to extend the period of existence of pancreatic islet, and to reduce the whole volume of the pancreatic islet required to transplantation. CONSTITUTION: The surface reforming method of a pancreatic islet membrane is performed by activating hydrophile polymer, and coupling the activated polymer to the pancreatic islet membrane. The hydrophile polymer having a water contact angle less than 90 degree is selected from a group composed of polyacrylic acid, polyacrylate, polyacrylamide, polyvinyl ester, polyvinyl alcohol, polystyrene, polyoxide, cellulose, starch, polysaccharide, polyelectrolyte, poly(1-nitropropylene), poly(N-vinyl pyrrolidone), poly(vinyl amine), polyethylene glycol(PEG), and their derivative or mixture.
