DEVICE FOR TESTING/MAINTAINING LINE OF SUBSCRIBER NETWORK AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A device for testing/maintaining a line of a subscriber network and a method thereof are provided to perform an ADSL circuit test/maintenance by maintaining a wire communication channel with a client and checking and managing quality measurement and a service trouble toward the client or the network effectively in an ADSL service environment based on a subscriber network. CONSTITUTION: A matrix switch(31) stores a communication module(312) based on an ethernet for performing a communication with a splitter module(311) and an ADSL test system(32) for maintaining a wire call with a client and testing an ADSL service of the client and a network by a disconnect test in an ADSL test. An ADSL test system(32) stores a communication module(323) based on an ethernet for switching to an ADSL test module(321) or a PC module(322) having an ADSL modem, transmitting test information to a trouble receipt and maintenance system(remote place), and performing a communication with the matrix switch(31). The splitter module(311) is positioned at the matrix switch(31) and can be enlarged in accordance with the number of circuits capable of being tested in the matrix switch(31). An "IN/OUT" line is separated based on the matrix switch(31), and "IN#1/OUT#1" line connected to an MDF(Main Distribution Frame) occupies two ports of the matrix switch(31) and an "IN#2/OUT#2" line connected to a DSLAM(Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer) occupies two ports of the matrix switch(31).
