TUBE POSITION MEASURING SYSTEM OF HEAVY WATER REACTOR

PURPOSE: A tube position measuring system of heavy water reactor is provided to accurately measure the position of the tube by using principle that a reflected wave at the center of the tube is strongest when an ultrasonic wave is scanned to the tube. CONSTITUTION: A tube position measuring system of heavy water reactor comprises an operator(10), a servo controller(12), an ultrasonic wave scanner(14), an encoder(36), a pulse counter(38), an ultrasonic pulse/receiver(44), a CPU(40), and a display(48). The operator is like a joy stick. The servo controller(12) is coupled to the operator(10) for controlling the inputted operating signal. The ultrasonic scanner(14) is coupled to the servo controller(12) for vertically scanning the ultrasonic wave to the tube in the reactor. The encoder(36) measures ultrasonic wave scanning position. The pulse counter(38) is coupled to the encoder for calculating received pulses. The ultrasonic pulse/receiver receives a reflected wave from the tube. The CPU(40) processes the pulse count and the reflected wave to display as a graph at the display(48).
