PURPOSE: An ATM cell receiving device of an ATM switching system is provided to convert an ATM cell into a plurality of time slots easily using an AAL2(ATM Adaptation Layer 2) protocol. CONSTITUTION: A control unit(100) outputs control data when a call is connected or released. An ATM cell receiving unit(200) separates a CPS(Common Part Sublayer) packet from a received ATM cell. A packet handling unit(300) converts header information of a CPS packet extracted in the ATM cell receiving unit(200) into a time slot number, and stores a payload of the CPS packet in accordance with the converted time slot number. A time slot output unit(400) performs demultiplexes of the CPS packet payload outputted in the packet handling unit(300) into a plurality of time slots and outputs the time slots.
