PURPOSE: To prevent uneveness in brightness of the exit light caused by deformation of a light control sheet. CONSTITUTION: A reflector 13 of a light source unit 11 comprises a first plate- like part 37 tightly contacting an exit surface 36 end part on an incident surface 10 side of a light guide plate 4, and a second plate-like part 38 supported by a reflector support 14. A projection 41 formed at the second plate-like part 38 of the reflector 13 hooks with a hole formed at a plate-like base part 43 of the reflector support 14 so that the reflector 13 is aligned with the reflector support 14. Thus the deflection of the reflector 13 is corrected, keeping an appropriate interval between a fluorescent lamp 12 and the incident surface 10 of the light guide plate 4.
