APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CORRECTING DEFECTIVE PIXEL OF IMAGE SENSOR

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for correcting a defective pixel of an image sensor are provided to correct a defective pixel moving while a user is using the image sensor without requiring an external storage and programming for the defective pixel. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for correcting a defective pixel of an image sensor includes a sensor(310), a controller(330) and an image corrector(320). The sensor has an optical source for test for detecting a defective pixel and receives the image of an object. The controller judges if an image frame inputted through the sensor has a defective pixel and stores information about the position of the defective pixel. The image corrector compares the defective pixel position information with the pixel position of the image frame of the object inputted through the sensor to correct the defective pixel.
