SEMI-SANDWICH PANEL

PURPOSE: A semi-sandwich panel is provided to ensure improved strength and rigidity of a structure as the panel by partially forming required portions of core material for obtaining the proper strength and rigidity between both surface materials. CONSTITUTION: The panel(10) comprises a core material(14) formed by partially filling the material into desired portions for obtaining improved strength and rigidity between both surface materials(12) made of fabric. The surface materials include glass fiber, carbon fiber, synthetic fiber or aramid fiber. The core material includes aluminium honeycomb, nomex honeycomb, paper honeycomb, urethane foam or acrylic foam. The core material can be provided with insert nut(16) to have a mounting structure. The panel can be in a semi-sandwich form by partially forming the core material into inner edges of the surface material or crossing the edges.
