The invention concerns a method for generating pages of customized digital directory for display with a browser-type programme. The invention is characterised in that it comprises a customization step which consists in: recording in a temporary storage unit of a client station a digital file corresponding to a HTML-type page comprising hypertext links for accessing other pages, and descriptors associated with pictograms and displaying on the client station said page, recording in a temporary storage unit of the client station at least a customization file comprising an identifier of a link and at least a customization descriptor selected by the user, transmitting the content of said temporary storage unit to a server station, recording in the sever storage unit the data of the customization file together with the user identifier.
