PURPOSE: To provide a packaging bag capable of being opened without being hindered by a gusset when opened, which enables a reduction in cost and makes it hard to let gas in/out through the edge of the gusset. CONSTITUTION: The gusset-equipped bag made of a thermoplastic resin sheet is characterized as follows: un upper end is provided with lug parts 34 and 35 formed protrusively from the upper edge of the gusset 3; an opening/closing zipper 5 and 6 is disposed in a reinforcing tape 38 excellent in gas barrier properties, which is disposed between a front body 1 and a back body 2 so as to be orthogonal to the gusset 3 and cover the upper edge of the gusset 3; one member of the zipper 5 and 6 and the reinforcing tape 38 are welded together to the inner surface of the back body 2 in such a state as to cover the upper edge of the gusset 3; the other member of the zipper 5 and 6 is welded to the inner surface of the front body 1; and the peripheries of the lug parts 34 and 35 of the front and back bodies 1 and 2 are sealed by welding for the purpose of enabling the bag to be opened by cutting out the lug parts 34 and 35.
